The floor that works as hard as you do

The floor that works as hard as you do

Intercell is a modular floor management system that makes cable management, underfloor services, and workspace flexibility simpler than you might think. Designed and manufactured in the Netherlands by Priema BV, it has been installed in offices, data centres, and commercial spaces across Europe for decades. The idea behind Intercell is straightforward. A low-profile steel floor sits just a few centimetres above the original surface, creating a clean void underneath where cables, power feeds, data connections, and heating pipes can be routed freely. Floor boxes sit flush with the surface, giving workstations exactly the connectivity they need, exactly where they need it. What makes Intercell different is what happens next. When your office layout changes, or your cabling needs updating, or you simply want to add a new workstation somewhere, the floor panels lift straight out. No contractors, no cutting, no mess. You move what needs moving, and the floor goes back down. It takes hours, not weeks.

Why Intercell?

Most cable management solutions ask you to commit. Once the cables are in the screed or the conduit is fixed, changing anything becomes a project in itself. Intercell is built around the idea that workspaces change, and your floor should be able to change with them.

The entire system is manufactured from cold-rolled galvanized sheet steel, which is not only exceptionally durable but also 100% recyclable at the end of its life. The pedestals that support the floor panels are bonded to the subfloor with adhesive rather than screws or bolts, so the structure beneath is never touched. No drilling. No damage. Nothing that cannot be undone.

At just 40 to 110 mm in total height, depending on the configuration you choose, Intercell adds very little to the overall floor level while giving you full access to everything running underneath it.

What the system consists of

Intercell is built from a small number of components that work together. Galvanized steel floor panels, 500 by 500 millimetres, form the walking surface. Steel pedestals underneath support them and create the void for services. Mega screws lock the panels to the pedestals at each corner. Floor boxes, available in metal or polycarbonate, sit flush in the surface and provide power and data connections wherever you need them. Access panels in a smaller 250 by 250 millimetre format give you direct access to specific points in the floor without lifting an entire section.

Everything is manufactured to the same consistent standard at Priema’s own facilities in the Netherlands and Czech Republic, which means every component fits the way it is supposed to.
